Having qualified in November, the Greenfield Primary School tag rugby team went to a sunny Old Swinford Hospital School last month to compete against the best schools from Dudley.
They eased through their pool with four emphatic wins, only to come up against Church of the Ascension in the semi-final.
Greenfield has had several close, yet victorious, contests against this school in recent years. However, this time the luck was with Church of the Ascension and after a competitive game, Greenfield lost narrowly by 5-4.
The school is immensely proud of the team’s effort, enthusiasm and positive sporting attitude. Well done to the players from Stourbridge RFC Under 11 and Under 10 players who took part.
The players are a credit to their school and really prove how much can be achieved through dedication, teamwork and determination.
Well done Greenfield!
