The Club is sad to hear of the death of Bob Glaze on 25 November 2023. Bob was an enthusiastic supporter of the club, in many guises, over the years. Bob first got involved in the 80’s when his son Andrew started playing in the Mini and Junior sections progressing through to the Colts. Following retirement from his job in HSBC Bank Bob then moved on to be the first ever Commercial Manager of the club, playing a significant part in the club’s growth and success during his time and he was very proud of (and still talked about) his contribution in helping to organise events such as the May Balls and a large function at the Club when England won the World Cup in 2003. Together with his late wife Sandra he ran a stall selling Club merchandise on a Sunday morning when the Minis and Juniors were playing for many years.

He was also a committed supporter of the club’s first team and would regularly be found at Stourton Park on a Saturday afternoon and he enjoyed many a coach trip and long weekend to take in an away game with his friends. Bob was also President of the Stourbridge Old Edwardian Club from 2001-2002.

His funeral will take place on 20 December at 12.30pm at Enville Church with light refreshments afterwards at the Rugby Club.
