2nd XV:
Congratulations to the 2nd XV who had a comfortable win against Luctonians 3's on Saturday. Some confusion over the score between our roving reporters and the referee; however JJ has confirmed the final score as Luctonians 3's 30 - Stourbridge 2nd XV 66. Congratulations boys on another great victory!
Match report:
Luctonians 30, Stourbridge Lions 66
This game had 'banana skin' written all over it. Lucs had tested Stour at home and, having won the league 2 weeks ago, there was always a danger of motivation levels dropping for Stour.
Ethan Gilbert allayed that fear from an early lineout, breaking clear for a superb try...the sort we have become accustomed to this season.
Stour surged to a 38-7 lead with some superb link and support play, showcasing the talent in the ranks.
Lucs had their moments and mounted a mini revival based around their driving play from close range, aided by Stour's ill discipline.....but the scoreboard didn't lie. A raucous home support were left disappointed and Stour were worthy and comfortable winners at a historically tricky venue.

Dan Wood slotted in seamlessly at 9 for his first league game of the year and Ethan Shewring is proving to be a frustrated fly half at tight head. Will Waterfield showed brain and brawn at 12 and George Westwood was a continual threat at 15. Ben Furber was a menace and player coach Rich Thurston also put a shift in.
The bench of Zak Grant, Callum Corcoran and Joe Wood also made a big impact on proceedings.
2 league games remain and 2 cup fixtures as we build towards Level 7.

On Sunday the ladies travelled to Tamworth hoping to repeat their success in the reverse fixture. Unfortunately it was not to be this time around and Tamworth secured their win with a final score of Tamworth Ladies 38 - Stourbridge Panthers 17.
